Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 EBSCO Charleston Conference scholarship. Sponsored by EBSCO Information Services, the scholarship grants up to $1,000 for the winner to register for the Charleston Conference, as well as other expenses related to attending the conference.

GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI Library Solutions), a division of EBSCO Information Services, (EBSCO) has expanded its Library Technical Services Team, hiring Wendy Evans as Library Technical Services Specialist. In this role, Ms. Evans will advise and support libraries, as well as manage the implementation and maintenance for GOBI Library Solutions services across the United Kingdom and internationally.

GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI Library Solutions), a division of EBSCO Information Services, (EBSCO) is now an approved supplier of print and e-books for Higher Education, Further Education and Specialist Libraries in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, through the National Joint Consortia Framework Agreement. This supply framework will last for a minimum period of two years. In addition to being awarded status as a print book provider on the framework, GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO was ranked highly against each criterion for their provision of e-books (including PDA/DDA and Publisher-Direct).

EBSCO Information Services and the Graphic Novel Committee of the Children’s Book Council today announced The Imitation Game: Alan Turing Decoded, as the 2017 recipient of the first annual SEE-IT™ Award. The SEE-IT Award recognizes outstanding achievements of authors and illustrators in youth graphic novels.

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) is awarding its 2017 EBSCO Solar grant to the Athens-Clarke County Library in Athens, Georgia and The Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling, Illinois. The grants will provide each library with $100,000 to pay for the installation of a solar array. The grant offsets the cost of installing solar panels and allows libraries to reduce their electricity expenditures.

The American Library Association (ALA) and EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) are making it easier for seven librarians to attend the ALA Annual Conference after winning EBSCO-ALA scholarships. Each scholarship provides up to $1,000 to help defray the cost of travel and other expenses to the conference taking place in Chicago on June 22-27.
