Winners Named for the 2006 EBSCO/MLA Meeting Grants BIRMINGHAM, Ala., U.S.A., April 3, 2006 – EBSCO Information Services and the Medical Library Association are pleased to announce the winners of the 2006 EBSCO/MLA Meeting Grants. They are Karen Goodell, Palmer Health Sciences Library, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport , Iowa ; Lillian Hoffecker, AHIP, Denison Library, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center-Denver ; Xialoi Li, Carlson Health Sciences Library, University of California-Davis; and Dana Wyles, Family Resource Center , Mount Sinai Hospital , New York . The grant, which subsidizes conference costs for first-time attendees, enables MLA members who are new to the profession to attend the association’s annual meeting. The award provides up to $1,000 for travel and conference-related expenses. Applicants must be currently employed as health sciences librarians and have between two and five years’ experience working in a health sciences library.
