Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide ™ Now available via EBSCO

IPSWICH, Mass.August 19, 2005 The release of Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide ™ via EBSCOhost ® is another product of the ongoing partnership between EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) and the National Information Services Corporation (NISC). This database is the world’s largest index to literature on wild mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.

Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide (1935 & earlier to present) includes more than 678,000 bibliographic records, many of which include abstracts. Most of the records in this database are from Wildlife Review Abstracts, formerly Wildlife Review, which until 1996 was a print publication produced by the U.S. National Biological Service. Wildlife Review Abstracts plus the seven other related databases in this exclusive collection offer a global perspective and together form the most comprehensive resource on wildlife information. Major topic areas include studies of individual species, habitat types, hunting, economics, wildlife behavior, management techniques, diseases, ecotourism, zoology, taxonomy, and much more. Approximately 18,000 records are added per year. As one of NISC’s most popular databases, many researchers turn to this file when they can’t find what they want anywhere else.
