The EBSCOhost® Electronic Journals Service (EJS) Enhanced now includes more than 7,000 fully searchable e-journal titles. All citations, abstracts and full text of those 7,000 titles are fully indexed and searchable by end users, with direct links to the articles' full text.

EJS provides authentication for access to the full text for more than 4,500 journals, with no registration required at publisher sites, thus greatly simplifying the e-journal registration process for libraries. Using EBSCO SmartLinks™ technology, EJS users have full-text linking capability for even more journals, including those available from CrossRef member publishers. Altogether, EJS provides direct article-level full text access to more than 4 million articles, of which approximately 500,000 are available for individual article purchase.

"While our development team has worked diligently during the past year to build the richest, most complete feature set of any e-journals gateway product, our content team has greatly increased the value of those features by growing the content available via EJS exponentially," said Gary Coker, EBSCO's director of digital library services. "We are proud to offer what we feel is not only the largest collection of e-journal content in a gateway product, but also the highest quality content from the world's most respected publishers. Our goal for 2003 is to continue EJS's content growth while enhancing our market-leading e-journal management feature set," he continued.

EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service is available in two versions: Basic and Enhanced. EJS Basic provides consolidated access to only those e-journals purchased through EBSCO. EJS Enhanced is a gateway to thousands of electronic journals, subscribed and non-subscribed, and contains extensive features that make it the preferred choice to handle e-journal access and management needs. A complete list of e-journals available through EJS can be found at http://ejournals.ebsco.com/info/ejsTitles.asp.
